Iran Warns of Decisive Response to US Aggression

Iran warns of decisive response if the United States launches any military attack.

Iran’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations sent a letter to Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. In the letter, Iran said recent statements by US President Donald Trump show a real risk of military aggression.

Iran said it does not want war. It also said it does not seek to increase tensions. However, it clearly warned that it will respond strongly if any attack takes place.

Iran stated that it will act in self-defense. It said it will take full and decisive action if necessary.

The letter also said that Iran will consider military bases, facilities, and other assets of hostile forces in the region as legitimate targets in case of military action.

Iran referred to a recent social media post by President Trump. In that post, he said the United States might use airfields in Diego Garcia and RAF Fairford if Iran does not agree to a deal. He suggested the US could use these bases to remove what he described as a potential threat.

Iran asked the United Nations to take notice of the situation. It urged the UN to play its role in reducing rising tensions in the region.

Iran warns of decisive response and makes it clear that it will defend itself against any act of aggression.
