PDMA Punjab Issues Flood Alert for River Sutlej

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab has issued a high-level flood warning as water levels continue to rise in the River Sutlej near Ferozepur.

According to the PDMA spokesperson, the river downstream at Ferozepur is facing a serious flood situation, and the water level in nearby streams and drains is also expected to increase further.

The authority has instructed all Deputy Commissioners in the affected areas to stay on high alert and ensure quick response measures.

DG PDMA Irfan Ali Kathia said that, following the directions of the Punjab Chief Minister, all departments must complete flood safety and relief arrangements without delay to protect people and property.
