Venezuela Offers Talks to Trump Amid Rising US Tensions

Venezuela offers talks to Trump as President Nicolas Maduro shows readiness to open dialogue with the United States, according to international media reports.

President Maduro said Venezuela is willing to talk and cooperate with the US. However, he avoided giving a direct answer about a recent alleged US attack.

This statement came at a time when Venezuela has faced increased US military pressure in recent weeks. In an interview with state television, Maduro said talks could cover drug trafficking, oil, and migration issues.

Maduro neither confirmed nor denied US President Donald Trump’s claim about an attack on a docking facility in Venezuela. The site allegedly supported boats used for drug smuggling.

When asked about the claim, Maduro said the issue could be discussed in the coming days. If confirmed, the action would be the first ground attack during the US campaign against drug trafficking from Latin America.

Earlier, President Trump said the US destroyed a coastal dock in Venezuela used by drug-smuggling boats. He did not clarify whether the US military or the CIA carried out the operation.

Trump also did not share the exact location of the attack. Speaking to reporters at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, he said a large explosion occurred at a site where drug-filled boats were prepared.

In conclusion, Venezuela offers talks to Trump as diplomatic signals emerge despite growing tensions and unresolved claims of military action.
