The signatories include Congressman Glenn Grothman. The list also includes Vicky Hartzler, Chair of the US Commission on International Religious Freedom, and Vice Chair Dr. Asif Mahmood.

They state that authorities restrict religious beliefs in harsh ways. They add that such actions undermine rights in the world’s largest democracy.
The lawmakers stress the need for accountability. They ask the US government to respond through legal and diplomatic channels.
