The digital system also reduces the risk of losing or damaging documents. Applicants can prove their visa status by using a share code when needed.
The British High Commission confirmed that visa processing time, eligibility, and requirements remain the same. Only the visa format has changed to a digital version.
Officials said the new system will make the visa process easier for Pakistanis. They also advised applicants to apply directly instead of using agents.
The UK already introduced the eVisa system for student and work visas earlier. The new changes do not affect people who already have sticker visas.
