UAE President Pakistan Visit Today, Islamabad Holiday Announced
The UAE President Pakistan visit begins today as Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrives in Islamabad on an official tour.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif invited the UAE President to Pakistan. President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will meet the visiting leader. Other senior officials will also attend scheduled meetings.
The Foreign Office spokesperson said the visit will strengthen cooperation. Talks will focus on trade, investment, energy, and development sectors. Both countries aim to expand long-term partnerships.
The government announced a public holiday in Islamabad due to the visit. Pakistan Secretariat and all federal institutions within Islamabad will remain closed today.
The Senate Secretariat and National Assembly Secretariat will also stay closed. The Islamabad High Court announced a holiday as well. According to the registrar’s notification, the Islamabad High Court and district courts will remain closed on December 26.
The Registrar of the Federal Constitutional Court canceled today’s cause list and issued a public holiday notification.
The Cabinet Division clarified that essential services will remain open. Hospitals, banks, emergency offices, the Metropolitan Corporation, CDA offices, Islamabad administration, police, IESCO, and Sui Northern Gas offices will continue to operate.
The UAE President Pakistan visit is expected to boost bilateral ties and open new opportunities for economic and strategic cooperation.
