UAE joins Trump Board of Peace after President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan accepted an invitation from former US President Donald Trump.
The decision marks a new diplomatic step. It shows UAE support for peace efforts linked to Gaza.
UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed confirmed the move. He said the decision reflects the importance of fully implementing Trump’s 20-point peace plan for Gaza. He added that the plan supports the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
The Saudi cabinet also announced its support for Trump’s Board of Peace. This backing strengthens regional alignment around the initiative.
According to the board’s charter, member countries can serve for up to three years. Members can renew their term only with approval from the chairperson.
The United States continues to invite global leaders to join the board under Trump’s leadership. Reports say the membership fee is set at one billion dollars.
