UAE and Eurobonds Repayment Plan Ready: Finance Minister

UAE and Eurobonds repayment plan is ready, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb confirmed during an informal talk on Pakistan’s economic situation.

He said the government has completed all arrangements to ensure timely payments for UAE loans and Eurobonds. Aurangzeb added that Pakistan will meet all its financial commitments on time.

The minister stressed the need to design policies based on the current tense global situation. He said the government will keep foreign exchange reserves stable and aligned with IMF targets.

Finance minister explained that Pakistan is preparing for commercial financing and bond issuance. Talks are ongoing with a consortium of banks to secure commercial funding.

He also shared that the government will restart preparations for issuing Panda bonds by the end of April. The plan includes raising around 1 billion dollars through these bonds.

FM Aurangzeb said Pakistan is issuing Panda bonds for the first time, which is why the process is taking time. He added that the government is reviewing the impact of regional tensions on the economy.

The finance minister said policies made with the IMF have helped put the economy on the right path. He confirmed that the government will take key economic decisions and prepare the upcoming budget soon.

The government remains committed to financial stability, and the UAE and Eurobonds repayment plan reflects its focus on meeting all obligations on time.
