U.S. President Donald Trump seeks China’s help in resolving issues with Russia during his Asia tour, aiming to strengthen global peace and improve diplomatic relations.
During a press talk about his Asia visit, Trump shared that there is a strong chance of meeting North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. He said he has a good relationship with Kim Jong Un.
The U.S. President added that he would like to see China assist America in improving relations with Russia. He also mentioned that if the situation improves, tariffs on Brazil could be reduced.
Trump clarified that he has no plans to meet Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. He said that Thailand and Cambodia are expected to sign a peace agreement in Malaysia on Sunday.
According to news agencies, the U.S. President left yesterday for a five-day visit to Malaysia, Japan, and South Korea. This is Trump’s first Asia tour since taking office. He is scheduled to meet the Chinese President in South Korea on Thursday.
President Trump will attend the ASEAN Summit in Malaysia. Reports suggest that Japan’s Prime Minister may announce a $550 billion investment plan in the U.S., following Trump’s request to boost trade and economic ties.
