Trump claimed the secret weapon blocked all missile systems and rendered them useless. As a result, Venezuelan forces could not respond during the operation.

The United States carried out large-scale attacks on Venezuela on January 3. US forces arrested President Nicolas Maduro and his wife and brought them to the United States.
