Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court has removed the objections raised by the Registrar’s Office to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sohail Afridi, meeting request with PTI founder Imran Khan in jail.

Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir heard the case along with the objections. Advocate Ali Bukhari represented Sohail Afridi in court.

The court issued notices to the Secretary of Interior, the Punjab Home Secretary, the IG Police, and the Superintendent of Adiala Jail for October 23.

Advocate Ali Bukhari stated that the Registrar’s Office had raised several objections to the petition. One objection was that the court had already made a decision on a similar matter.

He added that another objection questioned how Sohail Afridi could file the petition without approval from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government or cabinet. He clarified that the cabinet has not yet been formed, so this objection was invalid.

The court removed all objections from the Registrar’s Office and issued notices to all parties involved.

It is worth noting that the Registrar’s Office had earlier raised multiple objections to Sohail Afridi’s meeting request with Imran Khan in jail.

In summary, the Islamabad High Court accepted Sohail Afridi’s meeting request with Imran Khan by removing the Registrar Office’s objections and issued notices for further hearing.
