Shubman Gill and Gautam Gambhir Accused of Injustice

Shubman Gill and Gautam Gambhir accused of injustice after India’s defeat in the second ODI against Australia in Adelaide. Former cricketer Mohammad Kaif said leaving Kuldeep Yadav out of the playing XI was an unfair decision. He also suggested that either Harshit Rana or Nitish Kumar Reddy should play, not both.

India lost the second ODI by two wickets and trailed 2-0 in the three-match series. Kaif explained that Harshit Rana lacked a strong delivery that could create pressure on batters. He added that bowlers like Siraj and Bumrah have clear strengths such as pace and yorkers, while Rana’s bowling remains inconsistent.

Kaif shared his views on his YouTube channel. He said, “Harshit Rana doesn’t have a solid outswinger or inswinger. When the required rate is high, his change of pace works well. But when the batters play steadily, he struggles to make an impact.”

He also criticised the management for not including Kuldeep Yadav, who could have used the turning pitch to India’s advantage. Kaif compared Adam Zampa’s performance to Kuldeep’s potential. Zampa took four wickets for Australia and helped them win.

Kaif confidently stated, “If Kuldeep was in the team, India would have won this match. When Zampa can turn the game with his spin, Kuldeep would have done even better. He is far more skilled than Zampa.”

The former cricketer further said that not playing a specialist spinner like Kuldeep in a crucial match was a serious mistake. He called it a “clear injustice” to both the player and the team.

India’s loss led to several experts questioning the team’s selection strategy. Fans also reacted strongly on social media, supporting Kaif’s opinion and demanding Kuldeep’s return for the next match.

In the end, Mohammad Kaif’s remarks sparked debate across the cricket community. Many agreed that Shubman Gill and Gautam Gambhir accused of injustice was not just about one player but a reflection of poor decision-making during the series.
