Shahid Afridi Says He Will Serve If PCB Invites Respectfully

Former Pakistan cricket team captain Shahid Afridi says he will serve if PCB invites respectfully. He made a clear statement during his visit to Oxford University in London.

Afridi said that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) plays the role of a father for the national team. According to him, if the board invites him with respect, he will happily serve again.

While talking to Pakistani and Indian students, Afridi discussed cricket, politics, and the current social environment. He said both systems in Pakistan—cricket and politics—need serious improvement. He also mentioned that social media has become full of negativity and bad behavior. Afridi added that he never had a desire to enter politics but admitted that no one knows what the future holds.

Speaking about India-Pakistan relations, Afridi said that cricket can play a vital role in bringing both countries closer. He also revealed that before the Modi government came to power, he had good friendships with several Indian cricketers.

Shahid Afridi says he will serve if PCB invites respectfully, showing his continued love and respect for Pakistan cricket and his readiness to contribute once again if approached with dignity.
