Severe Weather Advisory Issued by National Emergency Center
Severe Weather Advisory issued by the National Emergency Operation Center warns of extreme cold and snowfall across several parts of Pakistan.
The National Emergency Operation Center released the advisory due to harsh weather conditions. Authorities urged people to stay alert and follow safety instructions.
According to the Meteorological Department, Islamabad will remain cold and dry today. Most districts of Punjab will experience cold winds. Snowfall has stopped in Murree, but Murree, Galiyat, and nearby areas will stay very cold.

Most parts of Sindh will remain dry. Coastal areas of Sindh will feel cold winds. Azad Kashmir will face severe cold, while Gilgit-Baltistan will see cloudy skies.
The National Emergency Operation Center issued the advisory until January 29. Officials said western winds will affect upper and northern regions. These areas may receive more snowfall in the next 24 to 48 hours.
Authorities expect heavy snowfall in mountainous areas of Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir. Northern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa may also receive snow. Upper areas of Balochistan face a risk of avalanches.
The Emergency Operation Center warned of a strong cold wave in most parts of the country. Officials advised people to avoid unnecessary travel during snowfall and fog.
The center also directed machinery and response teams to stay on high alert. Authorities advised citizens to follow safety guidelines through the NDMA Disaster Alert mobile app.
The Severe Weather Advisory aims to reduce risks and protect lives during this dangerous weather spell.
