Sania Mirza Says Farah Khan Supported Her in Tough Times

The former Indian tennis star and ex-wife of Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik opened up about her emotional struggles. She revealed that her close friend and Bollywood choreographer, Farah Khan, stood by her when life became difficult.

Sania shared this during her YouTube show “Serve It With Sania”, where she invited Farah Khan for an open-hearted conversation. They talked about parenting challenges, single motherhood, and managing both work and family responsibilities.

Farah Khan praised Sania for raising her son alone. She said that Sania’s dedication and hard work are truly admirable. Farah added that balancing a career and parenting is never easy, and Sania handles both with grace and strength.

During the show, Sania discussed how children can sense tension at home. She said even if parents pretend to smile, children understand when something feels wrong. That’s why, she added, it is sometimes better to separate than to raise children in a stressful environment.

Sania also mentioned that Farah Khan has been her closest friend for years. Many people are surprised by their strong bond since they come from different professions, but their friendship has remained genuine and deep.

She recalled one of her most emotional moments when she was supposed to host a live show. Sania said she was trembling with fear and sadness at that time. Farah encouraged her and gave her strength to face the camera. That moment, Sania said, showed how true friends lift you when you are falling.

Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik married in 2010 and welcomed their son Izhaan in 2018. However, their marriage officially ended in January 2024. After the separation, Shoaib Malik married Pakistani actress Sana Javed.

Now, Sania lives with her son, while Shoaib meets him occasionally. He often shares pictures of their time together on social media.

Sania Mirza says Farah Khan supported her in tough times, showing that true friendship can be the greatest strength during life’s hardest moments.
