Rupee Gains in Currency Markets, Dollar Falls Further
Rupee gains in currency markets as the US dollar records another slight drop against the Pakistani rupee.
The positive trend in the currency market continues. According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the US dollar lost 3 paisa in the interbank market.
Official data shows that the dollar closed at 279 rupees and 52 paisa in the interbank market. It had dropped by 3 paisa at the end of trading.
The open market also showed a similar trend. The dollar fell by 3 paisa there as well. It reached 280 rupees and 57 paisa.
Currency dealers said the rupee is showing steady improvement. Market experts believe better inflows and controlled demand for dollars support the rupee.
