Remittances to Pakistan Top Global Inflows Data

Dubai remittances to Pakistan reached the highest level among all global cities, according to official data.

The State Bank released new figures. It reported that Pakistan received $3.46 billion in total remitment in January.

Dubai ranked first among cities. Pakistanis in Dubai sent more than $540 million in one month. The United Arab Emirates sent a combined $694 million to Pakistan.

The central bank said Dubai contributed nearly three-quarters of the UAE’s total remission to Pakistan.

Abu Dhabi stood next. Overseas Pakistanis there sent $126.1 million. Sharjah followed with $9.8 million sent home.

At the country level, Saudi Arabia ranked first in sending remittal to Pakistan. The UAE held second position overall.

These inflows support Pakistan’s economy. They help strengthen foreign exchange reserves. They also support families and household spending.

Officials said remittances remain a key source of external financial support. The latest data again highlights the strong role of Dubai remittances to Pakistan.
