PTA restores 98% of Karachi telecom sites after rains within just 72 hours. This quick recovery shows the strong coordination between PTA and telecom operators.
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has confirmed that 98% of Karachi’s telecom sites damaged by heavy rains have been restored within just 72 hours. Out of 2,764 sites affected, services on 2,707 have already been restored, while work is in progress to bring the remaining 57 sites back online.
Officials stated that this quick recovery reflects the strong coordination between PTA, telecom operators, and local authorities. Teams worked around the clock to ensure residents stay connected despite urban flooding and extreme weather. The authority assured the public that all services will be fully restored very soon.
