PSL Over IPL: Why Foreign Players Prefer PSL

David Willey stated that IPL auctions remain uncertain. Players do not know if they will get selected or how much they will play. In contrast, PSL gives players security and a clear chance to play matches.

He added that every player has a different situation. Some players feel they will get more match time in PSL. They prefer playing instead of sitting on the bench for 10 or 11 weeks.

Earlier, Faf du Plessis and Moeen Ali also announced their decision to leave the IPL and play in the PSL. Their decisions strengthened the trend.

Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell also announced that he will not play in the IPL this year. Media reports now link him with a possible move to PSL.

In conclusion, PSL over IPL attracts foreign players due to strong security, confirmed participation, and better playing opportunities.
