Pakistan achieved significant progress in its fight against polio during 2025. Health authorities reported a sharp decline in polio cases nationwide.


According to the National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC), polio cases dropped from 74 to just 30 in 2025. This decline reflects the effectiveness of anti-polio campaigns.

The NEOC confirmed that no new polio case appeared across the country after September. Balochistan and Punjab also reported no polio cases for nearly one year. This progress encouraged health officials.


Authorities conducted six high-quality nationwide polio campaigns during 2025. These campaigns delivered strong results across all regions.


During the latest national campaign, health teams vaccinated more than 98 percent of children nationwide. Officials also recorded an 18 percent reduction in missed children compared to the previous campaign.


Health authorities praised parents and frontline health workers for their dedication. They reaffirmed their commitment to continue vaccination drives until complete eradication.
