Polio Campaign 2026 Begins Across Pakistan Nationwide

Polio Campaign 2026 Pakistan begins across the country to protect children from the virus.

Health teams start the nationwide drive in Punjab, Sindh, and other provinces. Workers give polio drops to children under five. Officials set a target to vaccinate more than 45 million children.

Ayesha Raza Farooq, Prime Minister’s focal person on polio, says over 400,000 trained polio workers take part. Teams visit homes to ensure every child receives the vaccine.

In District Vehari, teams aim to vaccinate over 641,000 children. Authorities form 4,352 mobile teams, 109 fixed teams, and 178 transit teams. Workers cover homes, schools, hospitals, and bus stands.

In Dera Ghazi Khan, teams target over 810,000 children during the campaign, which continues until February 5. In Hafizabad, staff plan to vaccinate 240,000 children.

Sukkur launches a four-day campaign across five tehsils. Health officials say teams vaccinate 325,869 children under five in the district.

In Naushahro Feroze, teams vaccinate 342,300 children during the four-day drive. In Kandhkot, authorities form 815 mobile teams to vaccinate 315,000 children in 37 union councils.

Officials urge parents to cooperate with health workers. They stress that polio drops remain safe and essential to prevent lifelong disability. The success of Polio Campaign 2026 Pakistan depends on full public support.
