PM Shehbaz Sharif Praises Trump at Global Peace Forum

During the Gaza Peace Agreement signing in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, the world watched closely. Everyone focused on Israel, Hamas, and the hopes for regional peace. But suddenly, attention shifted to Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who praised U.S. President Donald Trump during his speech.

PM Shehbaz Sharif praises Trump and called him “a true messenger of peace.” His emotional speech quickly went viral on social media, sparking mixed reactions from around the world.

Speaking with enthusiasm, Shehbaz Sharif said, “President Trump is truly a messenger of peace. The world needs leaders like him today. If Trump had not stepped in, the Pakistan-India conflict could have worsened. Within four days, it might have reached a nuclear level. No one would have been left to tell the story.

The Prime Minister also announced that he would nominate Donald Trump for next year’s Nobel Peace Prize. As soon as his remarks aired, analysts and observers across the globe responded instantly.

American analyst Eric Doherty posted a tweet quoting Shehbaz Sharif’s speech, expressing surprise and writing, “Wow! The Prime Minister of Pakistan just delivered a passionate speech in praise of President Trump.”

Indian political expert Ashok Swain made a sarcastic comment, “Shehbaz Sharif is making it difficult for Modi to stay in Trump’s good books.”

British politician George Galloway criticized the remarks, saying, “What kind of leader puts himself under another’s shadow like this? Does he have no self-respect left?”

Galloway reposted a video showing Trump saying, “I think Pakistan and India will now have very good relations.” He then turned to Shehbaz Sharif and asked, “Right?” Shehbaz smiled and tried to reply, but Trump walked away without listening.

American journalist Aaron Rupar reacted with sarcasm. He said that when Shehbaz nominated Trump for the Nobel Prize, embarrassment was clearly visible on Italian PM Meloni’s face.

Pakistani user Khalid Butt also commented on the moment. He recalled Trump’s words when he invited Shehbaz to the stage, saying, “Would you like to repeat what you told me the other day in front of everyone?” Khalid added that this was a perfect example of public embarrassment.

Many attendees felt shocked when the Prime Minister of a nuclear-armed country used admiring words for a foreign leader, especially at an event focused on Palestinian suffering.

Supporters of Shehbaz Sharif, however, called it a “diplomatic success.” Journalist Asad Chaudhry said the PM and Trump “crushed India’s narrative” at such a major global forum.

Critics, on the other hand, described his tone as overly flattering. Journalist Sehrish Hashmi mocked the situation, writing in Punjabi-style humor that Shehbaz probably wanted to say even more but ran out of time.

Another user wrote, “Shehbaz Sharif has mastered all the ways to please Trump.”

The PM Shehbaz Sharif praises Trump moment at Sharm El Sheikh, which was supposed to symbolize global peace, instead turned into a wave of political sarcasm in Pakistan and criticism on the international stage.
