Pakistan Weather Alert: Rain and Strong Winds Expected
A Pakistan Weather Alert has been issued as rain and strong winds are expected across the country from today until March 30.
The Meteorological Department says a weather system is active. It may affect many regions. These include Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Sindh, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir.
Rain is likely in different cities. There is also a risk of flash flooding in some areas.
In Noshki, heavy rain has already caused streams and drains to overflow. This has raised concerns about local flooding.

In Karachi, rain and light showers are expected within the next 24 hours. More rain is also likely on March 28 and 29. Some areas may even receive hail.
The Chief Secretary of Sindh has directed all authorities to stay on high alert. Officials have asked commissioners, deputy commissioners, and assistant commissioners in Karachi to remain in the field for the next seven days.
Authorities advise people to stay careful during this period. Strong winds and heavy rain may disrupt daily life.
