Pakistan has taken note of the recent decision made by the Court of Arbitration under the Indus Waters Treaty against India. The Foreign Office said the court’s decision provides useful clarification on some points of the earlier award issued on August 8, 2025, regarding the general interpretation of the treaty.

It will also consider the ongoing proceedings before the Neutral Expert under Article 9 and Annexure F of the treaty.
The statement added that the Neutral Expert’s proceedings began at India’s request. The next session will take place in Vienna from November 17 to 21, 2025. However, India has stopped taking part in these hearings, while Pakistan continues to participate in good faith.
