Pakistan Introduces First AI Lawyer by UET Engineers

University of Engineering and Technology (UET) students have developed Pakistan’s first AI lawyer. The digital lawyer provides legal advice based on Pakistani laws and drafts case documents.


The digital lawyer works 24/7, aiming to revolutionize the legal field. Lawyers can input case details into the app to quickly generate accurate and complete documents. The system uses data from court decisions and laws from 1947 to 2025.

This tool eliminates the need for time-consuming research on old legal databases. Tasks that previously took weeks can now be done in minutes. It also helps reduce delays in court cases.


According to the founders, this lawyer drafts applications, replies, notices, and contracts following Pakistani law. It is already being used by over 10,000 law firms and institutions.


Experts say this technology empowers young lawyers. It also strengthens transparency, public trust, and access to justice in Pakistan.


The first AI lawyer represents a significant step toward modernizing the legal system and making legal assistance faster and more reliable.
