Pakistan Bangladesh relations 2025 take a new turn as Bangladesh says it can join a regional bloc with Pakistan without India. This statement shows a clear shift in regional strategy.

Bangladesh said it can join a regional alliance with Pakistan even if India is not part of it. Officials said this is possible for Bangladesh, but not for Nepal or Bhutan.

The statement came from Touhid Hossain, the Foreign Affairs Adviser of Bangladesh. He responded to the recent comments made by Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. Ishaq Dar said a three-country process between Pakistan, China, and Bangladesh has started. He said this process may expand to other countries in the future.

Touhid Hossain said Ishaq Dar has given a direction, and progress may happen in the coming days.

Ishaq Dar visited Bangladesh in August this year. It was the first visit by a Pakistani foreign minister in 13 years. During this period, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Bangladesh’s interim head Muhammad Yunus held two positive meetings.

Relations between the two countries improved after the political change in Bangladesh last year. Sheikh Hasina’s government ended after public protests. Since then, both countries have shown more warmth in diplomatic ties. In this friendly environment, this strategic statement was shared.
