Orakzai Security Operation 2025: 19 Militants Killed

Pakistan’s security forces launched an intelligence-based operation in Orakzai district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The mission targeted the India-backed terrorist group Fitnah Al Khawarij. During the operation, the forces killed 19 militants.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that security forces carried out the operation at night. It took place between October 7 and 8, 2025.

The ISPR confirmed that all the killed terrorists had carried out long-term attacks against security forces and innocent civilians. During the fierce exchange of fire, Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Arif (39) and Major Tayyab Rahat (33) led the mission with great courage. Both officers fought bravely till the end. They embraced martyrdom while leading their team. Nine other soldiers also sacrificed their lives for the country.

The martyrs included Naib Subedar Azam Gul from Khyber and Naik Adil Hussain from Kurram. Naik Gul Amir from Tank, Lance Naik Sher Khan from Mardan, and Lance Naik Talish Faraz from Mansehra. Others were Lance Naik Irshad Hussain from Kurram, Sepoy Tufail Khan from Malakand. Sepoy Aqib Ali from Swabi, and Sepoy Muhammad Zahid from Tank.

After the operation, the forces launched a sanitization mission in the area to eliminate any remaining terrorists supported by foreign elements.

The ISPR spokesperson stated that Pakistan’s security forces are fully committed to eradicating terrorism from the country. The bravery and sacrifices of these officers and soldiers strengthen the nation’s determination to fight terrorism.

The ISPR urged the people to honor the sacrifices of the martyrs and to stand united with the armed forces in this national mission.
