Medical Educational Institutions Closed in Punjab Till March

The Medical Educational Institutions Closed in Punjab decision has been announced by the Punjab government.

The government has decided to temporarily close all medical educational institutions across the province. This step will remain in effect from March 10 to March 31, 2026.

The Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department has issued an official notification. According to the notice, all public and private medical universities, medical colleges, and nursing colleges will remain closed during this period.

However, classes for first-year and second-year MBBS students will continue online. Educational activities for these students will also take place through online platforms.

At the same time, third-year, fourth-year, and final-year MBBS students will continue their classes as usual. Their clinical attachments in hospitals will also proceed without interruption.

Authorities have also confirmed that all medical examinations will take place according to the already announced schedule. The temporary closure will not affect the exam timetable.

Meanwhile, nursing and allied health students, along with all teaching faculty, will continue to perform their duties in the relevant hospitals.

The government has instructed the heads of all institutions to ensure strict compliance with these guidelines.

The decision regarding Medical Educational Institutions Closed in Punjab aims to manage the situation while ensuring that medical education and hospital services continue smoothly.
