Massive Cyber Attack Exposes Data of 140 Million Users
A massive cyber attack has exposed sensitive data of more than 140 million users worldwide. Cybersecurity experts revealed the incident after they found a misconfigured cloud database online.
A well-known cybersecurity researcher, Jeremiah Fowler, discovered the unsecured database. He reported that it stored nearly 96 gigabytes of user information.
The leaked data includes usernames, passwords, email addresses, and account details linked to many online services.
Investigators said the affected accounts include 48 million Gmail accounts, 17 million Facebook accounts, and 6.5 million Instagram accounts. The leak also exposed 3.4 million Netflix accounts, 780,000 TikTok accounts, 420,000 Binance accounts, and 100,000 OnlyFans accounts.
The breach also impacted millions of Yahoo, Outlook, iCloud, and educational email accounts.
Experts clarified that hackers did not breach a single company system. They collected the data from different sources.
Security researchers said a specific virus spreads through infected phones and computers. It enters devices and steals saved browser passwords, login details, and other sensitive information. The malware then sends this data to hackers.

Experts warned that such data leaks increase the risk of account misuse, financial fraud, identity theft, and fake messages. The danger grows for users who use the same password on multiple platforms.
Cybersecurity professionals advised users to change their passwords immediately. They also urged people to enable two-factor authentication and monitor their accounts for suspicious activity.
Users must act quickly to stay safe as this massive cyber attack continues to raise serious global security concerns.
