Masjid Nabawi muezzin Sheikh Faisal Nauman passes away in Saudi Arabia after serving the holy mosque for 25 years.
Sheikh Faisal Nauman died on December 23, according to mosque authorities. Officials buried him after the Fajr prayer at Jannat al-Baqi cemetery in Madinah.
Masjid Nabawi appointed Sheikh Faisal Nauman as a muezzin in 2001. The mosque administration also shared a video of his final call to prayer.
Saudi media reported that calling the Azan remained a family tradition. His father and grandfather also served as muezzins at Masjid Nabawi.
His father became a muezzin at the age of 14. He continued this service for more than 90 years.
Sheikh Faisal Nauman took over the role after his father’s death. He performed this sacred duty for decades with devotion.
Head of Religious Affairs of Masjid al-Haram and Masjid Nabawi, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, expressed deep sorrow over the death.
Sheikh Al-Sudais offered condolences to the family. He prayed for forgiveness and high ranks for the deceased.
