Lahore Air Pollution: AQI Reaches 292, Tops World Ranking

Lahore’s air has become dangerously polluted. Authorities have advised people to avoid going outdoors unnecessarily due to Lahore air pollution and heavy smog.

According to the Smog Monitoring Center, Lahore has ranked first among the world’s most polluted cities. Winds blowing from the east have increased pollution levels, pushing the Air Quality Index (AQI) to an average of 292 today.

Because of low morning temperatures, polluted particles are staying longer in the air. The government will use anti-smog guns in the most affected areas to reduce pollution.

The Meteorological Department has confirmed that there is no chance of rain in Lahore at the moment.

Lahore air pollution continues to rise, putting the city’s residents at serious health risk. Authorities are taking steps to control smog and improve air quality.
