KP increases financial aid for martyrs’ families as Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohaib Afridi announced new support for the heirs of forces martyred in the May 2025 Indian attack.
The announcement came during a meeting in Peshawar with the families of martyrs from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The chief minister assured them of full government support at every step.
Sohaib Afridi approved an additional Rs5 million for martyrs’ families. This raised the total compensation from Rs5 million to Rs10 million.

He also increased financial aid for injured personnel. The amount rose from Rs1 million to Rs2.5 million for those wounded in the conflict.
The chief minister said the sacrifices of KP’s people ensure national security. He stated that martyrs never die and that martyrdom holds the highest honor in Islam.
He added that martyrs remain the pride of the nation. He confirmed that the KP government will continue to care for their families with responsibility and respect.
