Karachi Winter Rain Increases Cold Across the City

Karachi winter rain hit the city late at night and increased the intensity of cold weather.

The city received its first winter rain late at night. The rain caused a clear drop in temperature across the city.

Rain fell heavily in I.I. Chundrigar Road, PIDC, Sultanabad, Ziauddin Ahmed Road, and Civil Lines. Other areas, including Shahrah-e-Faisal, Tariq Road, Saddar, Soldier Bazaar, Jamshed Road, and nearby locations, also received rainfall.

Some areas, such as SITE Area, Metroville, and Orangi Town, recorded light rain. Other parts experienced moderate to heavy showers.

The Meteorological Department said light rain may continue during the day. Officials stated that intermittent drizzle and light showers could further reduce temperatures.

Rain also fell in Larkana, Sukkur, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Noudaro, and Khanpur. Lakhhi Ghulam Shah and Garhi Yaseen also received rain, which increased cold conditions.

Residents should expect cooler weather as Karachi winter rain continues to affect the region.
