Iran Drone Attack on Azerbaijan Sparks Warning of Response
Iran drone attack on Azerbaijan has triggered strong condemnation from the Azerbaijani government. Officials say the attack violated international law and increased tensions in the region.
A spokesperson for Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the drone strike on its territory is unacceptable. The spokesperson stressed that any attack on Azerbaijan breaks international law.
The official also warned that the incident could raise tensions in the region. Azerbaijan said it has the right to give a proper response to the attack.
So far, Iran has not issued any official reaction to the accusations.
According to Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry, one drone crashed at an airport in the city of Nakhchivan, which lies close to the Iranian border. Another drone reportedly fell near a school in the area.
Authorities said the government has asked Iran to explain the incident immediately. Officials are now investigating the situation.
The government also repeated that such actions threaten regional peace and stability. Azerbaijan said it will protect its sovereignty and respond if necessary to the Iran drone attack on Azerbaijan.
