IMF Executive Board Meeting to Approve $1.2B for Pakistan
The IMF Executive Board Meeting will take place tomorrow on December 8. The board will review and approve a $1.2 billion loan for Pakistan.
Sources say the IMF has issued the meeting schedule. In the meeting, Pakistan will receive $1.2 billion under the current loan program.

According to the details, Pakistan will get $1 billion from the IMF loan. The IMF will also release $200 million for climate financing.
Pakistan and the IMF reached a staff-level agreement on October 14 and has already completed all conditions to receive the $1.2 billion loan.
Government of Pakistan now waits for the final approval in the IMF Executive Board Meeting, which is expected to release much-needed financial support.
