IEA Announces Emergency Oil Release

Sixth Time IEA Has Taken Such Action
This is the sixth time the International Energy Agency has approved a coordinated oil reserve release.
The previous releases happened in 1991, 2005, 2011, and twice in 2022.
These actions usually happen during major global energy crises to stabilize oil supply and prices.

Fatih Birol said the oil market is facing unprecedented challenges due to supply disruptions.
