Hamas Confirms Death of Al-Qassam Commander Abu Ubaida
Hamas confirms death of Al-Qassam commander during the ongoing Israeli war in Gaza. The group released the confirmation on Sunday evening.
Hamas said several senior commanders of its armed wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, were killed in Israeli attacks. The statement came from Gaza amid continued fighting.
Hamas confirmed the death of its military wing spokesperson, Abu Ubaida. The group said his real name was Huzaifa Al-Kahlout. It also confirmed the killing of former Gaza chief Mohammed Sinwar in an Israeli strike.

According to Al-Qassam Brigades, Mohammed Shabana, the head of the Rafah Brigade, also lost his life. Hamas described all of them as key figures in its military structure.
Arab media reported that Abu Ubaida gave his last statement in September, when attacks on Gaza began. Israel earlier claimed in May that it had killed Mohammed Sinwar. It later claimed responsibility for Abu Ubaida’s death as well.
