Frog Cancer Treatment Discovery Offers New Hope

Frog cancer treatment discovery has surprised scientists and created new hope in cancer research. Japanese researchers have found a special bacterium inside a tree frog that can destroy cancer without harmful side effects.

Scientists from the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology made this discovery during a detailed study. They collected 45 types of bacteria from frogs and other small animals for testing.

The research showed that nine bacteria worked against cancer. Among them, Evangelia americana, found in the tree frog, proved to be the most effective.

According to the report, a single dose of this bacterium removed tumors in mice. Even after scientists injected cancer cells again after 30 days, no new tumors formed.

Researchers explained that the bacterium works in two ways. First, it directly damages the tumor. Then, it strengthens the immune system so the body can fight cancer on its own.

Scientists also said this bacterium survives in low-oxygen conditions. Such conditions are common inside cancer tumors. This ability makes the treatment more effective.

Early tests showed that the bacterium is safe. It leaves the bloodstream quickly and does not harm healthy parts of the body.

Experts believe this frog cancer treatment discovery could shape future cancer treatments. However, they stressed that more research is needed before doctors can use it on humans.

Scientists are now testing whether this bacterium can treat other types of cancer. They are also exploring how it may work with existing cancer therapies.
