FIA Arrests Two Human Traffickers in Gwadar Operations

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested two human traffickers in Gwadar for attempting to send Pakistani citizens to Iran through illegal sea routes. According to FIA, the suspects were caught in separate operations and identified by victims who had been targeted.

Human smuggling remains a serious problem in Balochistan, where traffickers exploit vulnerable people by charging heavy amounts for risky journeys to Iran, Turkiye, and beyond. The arrested suspects reportedly took Rs10,000 from each victim before arranging the illegal travel.

FIA stated that further investigation is underway. Just last week, the agency also detained five traffickers in Taftan and Loralai who were involved in sending people abroad with fake documents. Authorities said some of them were already listed as “most wanted” for running large human smuggling networks.
