E-Stamping System Launched as Stamp Papers End in Pakistan

E-Stamping System replaces traditional stamp papers in Islamabad after the government enforced a new digital system.

The administration introduced the move to end fraud linked to paper-based stamp documents. Officials confirmed that the Federal Treasury stopped issuing new traditional stamp papers.

Authorities allowed people to use already issued stamp papers until they expire. However, they will not release any new ones.

District officials reported strong progress under the digital project. The system has already generated 585 challans. Officials said the project improved transparency and helped them store all stamp-related data in digital form.

The Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad said citizens can now verify e-stamps through the Citizen Portal. This step further reduces chances of forgery.

Officials stated that the system will make government work easier and more reliable. It will also give citizens faster and safer services.

The administration believes the E-Stamping System will strengthen trust, improve transparency, and modernize official documentation across Islamabad.
