Dubai Car Number Plate Auction Sets New Record Price

Dubai car number plate auction made headlines as the city hosted its most expensive number plate sale. The top plate sold for Rs 740 million, setting a new record in Dubai.

Dubai authorities auctioned luxury car number plates in a high-profile public event. Buyers showed strong interest in rare and exclusive numbers.

Arab media reported that the auction earned a total of 109 million dirhams. This amount equals more than Rs 8.31 billion. The sale included 90 special number plates.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority organized the event. It marked the 120th open number plate auction in the city. The most expensive plate sold for 9.66 million dirhams, which is about Rs 740 million.

The second most expensive plate sold for over 8 million dirhams. Its value reached nearly Rs 610 million. Another plate sold for 6.74 million dirhams, around Rs 510 million. One more plate sold for about Rs 330 million.

Reports confirmed that all plates had two to five digits. Officials called it the largest number plate auction ever held in Dubai.

The Dubai car number plate auction once again showed strong demand for luxury assets and exclusive symbols of status.
