The Pakistan Meteorological Department’s Tropical Cyclone Warning Center has issued the 10th Cyclone Shakti alert. The strong tropical storm is currently located in the northwestern Arabian Sea, about 800 kilometers southwest of Karachi.

Over the past six hours, the cyclone has moved west and southwest. Experts predict it will turn eastward within the next 12 hours and gradually weaken into a cyclonic storm.
Under its influence, light rain is likely in the coastal areas of Sindh and Balochistan. The department also forecast rough sea conditions and strong winds, with speeds ranging from 40 to 50 kilometers per hour and gusts reaching up to 55 kilometers per hour.
Winds near the center of the cyclone have been recorded at 110 to 120 kilometers per hour. The Meteorological Department has strongly advised fishermen not to venture into deep waters until conditions improve.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely to ensure public safety and minimize potential damage from the Cyclone Shakti alert.
