Coffee and Prostate Cancer Risk: New Research Findings
Coffee and prostate cancer risk is gaining attention after new research explored whether daily coffee drinking harms health or offers protection.
Daily food and drink choices strongly affect health. Coffee stands out as a popular drink that boosts energy and alertness. Researchers now say it may also help reduce cancer risk.
A recent study found a clear drop in Coffee and prostate cancer risk among regular coffee drinkers. Prostate cancer ranks as the third leading cause of cancer deaths in men. Doctors estimate that one in six men may develop this disease by age 85.
Coffee contains caffeine, which improves alertness. It also supports memory, mood, and mental performance.
The American Institute for Cancer Research (AICR) reported in earlier studies that coffee may also lower the risk of head, neck, colorectal, breast, and liver cancers.

In the current study, researchers reviewed data from 16 different studies. The data included more than 57,000 prostate cancer cases. The total participant count exceeded one million people.
Results showed that higher coffee intake linked to lower prostate cancer risk. Researchers observed a trend: the more coffee people drank, the lower the risk appeared.
Scientists also noted that adding one extra cup of coffee per day might further reduce cancer risk. However, they warned that this research was observational. It does not prove cause and effect.
Experts said they need more detailed studies to understand the biological reasons behind this connection.
