China J-10CE Fighter Jet Combat Success Officially Confirmed

China J-10CE fighter jet combat success has received official confirmation from a Chinese government body for the first time. China’s Bureau of National Defense Science and Technology Industry stated that the J-10CE achieved its first real combat victory in May 2025.

This marks the first time a Chinese state institution has formally announced the battlefield success of the J-10CE. The statement referred to clashes in May last year. However, it did not directly name the India-Pakistan conflict.

After the May clashes, Pakistan’s armed forces announced that they had shot down six Indian aircraft, including Rafale jets. Later, in November, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif told the United Nations General Assembly that Pakistan had downed seven Indian aircraft.

US President Donald Trump mentioned several times that forces shot down seven to eight aircraft during the May fighting. Meanwhile, Indian Army Chief General Anil Chauhan admitted losses in Singapore last year but did not reveal the exact number.

According to a statement by China’s State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense (SASTIND), J-10CE fighter jets shot down multiple enemy aircraft during air combat in May. The jets returned safely without suffering any damage.

China’s official news agency reported that this first combat performance of the J-10CE has drawn strong attention from international defense analysts and the global aviation industry.

The report added that this achievement was included among China’s top ten defense science and technology news stories of 2025.

Chinese officials described the J-10CE as a fully indigenous, all-weather, single-engine, single-seat multirole fighter jet. It can perform air superiority missions, interception, and various strike operations.

The statement said the aircraft features advanced radar systems, modern avionics, and powerful weapons. Its export performance shows that Chinese defense equipment is reliable and highly competitive in the global market.

Chinese authorities believe that the China J-10CE fighter jet combat success proves the aircraft’s real-world effectiveness. They also say it will help boost the global reach of other Chinese defense products.
