ChatGPT Translate Feature Launched With Smart AI Tools

OpenAI has launched a dedicated translation tool within ChatGPT. This tool now has its own separate web page. Users can still translate content through the main chatbot, but this new section offers a more focused experience.

According to a report by Android Authority, ChatGPT Translate can convert text, audio recordings, and image-based text into more than 50 languages. It also supports Urdu. The tool completes translations within seconds.

OpenAI has added automatic language detection to this feature. The system identifies the source language on its own, which saves time and effort for users.

The tool stands out because it understands context and writing style. It does not rely on basic word-to-word translation. It can adapt content for business use, academic needs, or simple everyday language with a single click.

OpenAI states that ChatGPT Translate understands idioms, tone, and sentence structure. This makes translations smoother and more natural than traditional AI translators.

With this update, OpenAI is directly competing with Google Translate. Google also uses its Gemini-based AI to understand phrases and expressions more accurately.

Currently, the ChatGPT web version does not support audio input for translation. However, users can use audio translation on the mobile web version. The tool can also translate text from images, but there is no image upload option yet.

Since the tool works as a web page, offline use is not available. Real-time conversation translation is also not supported at this stage.

OpenAI introduced this update quietly without a formal announcement. This suggests the company may soon improve the tool further and officially launch it with more features.
