Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Meeting Today

Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee meeting will take place today in Peshawar to sight the Ramadan moon.

Authorities expect strong chances of moon visibility across the country. Officials will announce the final decision after reviewing moon sighting reports.

The committee will hold the meeting under the chairmanship of Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad. Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committees will also hold meetings in different cities. They will collect testimonies and forward their reports to the central body.

Several countries have already sighted the Ramadan moon. Muslims in Saudi Arabia, Gulf countries, and Afghanistan are observing their first fast today.

Meanwhile, countries such as Iraq, Oman, Turkey, Indonesia, and Malaysia will begin fasting tomorrow.

In addition, Muslims in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan will observe their first fast on Thursday.

Likewise, Bangladesh, India, Japan, Singapore, Australia, and France will also begin fasting on Thursday.

Religious authorities in Pakistan will make the official announcement after completing the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee meeting and verifying moon sighting evidence from across the country.
