Australia Awards Scholarships for Pakistani Students open new study opportunities in Australia. The government announced fully funded Master’s scholarships under the Australia Awards program.

Australia continues its education support initiatives in Pakistan. The program offers Pakistani citizens fully funded Master’s degree scholarships. These awards cover study programs that will begin in 2027.

Australia uses international development support to promote a peaceful, stable, and prosperous future for Pakistan and the region. The program builds long-term skills. It develops leadership. It also strengthens people-to-people ties between both countries.

Officials select candidates based on academic merit, professional experience, leadership skills, and their ability to support Pakistan’s development. The program encourages women, persons with disabilities, and other underrepresented groups to apply.

Priority fields include climate change, women and girls’ empowerment, agriculture, water resource management, infrastructure, and inclusive economic growth. Both governments decide these areas through mutual consultation.

The scholarships cover Master’s degree programs only. Applicants must not already hold an equivalent degree. Candidates must be Pakistani citizens and live in Pakistan. They must complete 16 years of education and have at least five years of relevant work experience. The age limit is 45 years.

Selected scholars receive full tuition fees, return airfare, living expenses, health insurance, an introductory academic program, and research fieldwork allowance. After graduation, scholars must return to Pakistan and serve for at least two years.

Applications for 2027 opened on February 1, 2026. The last date to apply is April 30, 2026. Applicants must submit forms through the OASIS online portal only.
