AI Smart Glasses Will Define Future Life, Says Zuckerberg

AI smart glasses will make daily life easier in the coming years, according to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

Mark Zuckerberg said people will soon find it hard to imagine life without AI smart glasses. He shared this view while presenting Meta’s fiscal year 2025 quarterly report.

He highlighted Meta’s growing work on AI-powered smart glasses. He explained that billions of people already use glasses or contact lenses to improve their vision. He believes smart glasses will follow the same path as smartphones. He said smartphones changed mobile phones, and these glasses will now change eyewear.

Zuckerberg said most regular glasses will turn into smart glasses within the next few years. He added that Meta’s smart glasses sales tripled over the past year. He called them one of the fastest-growing devices in electronics history.

He also pointed out that Meta does not stand alone in this race. Google plans to launch its smart glasses this year. Apple also plans to introduce its smart glasses in the next one or two years. Snap has created a separate unit to focus on developing and marketing its AR Spectacles.

Meta has already released several AI glasses models. These include Oakley smart glasses. Designers created them for use during exercise. Users see them as one of the most effective and exciting uses of wearable technology so far.

Experts expect strong competition in the wearable tech market. Companies continue to invest in better design, AI features, and daily-use comfort.

The tech industry now moves toward a future where AI smart glasses may become as common as smartphones.
