AI in Education Added to KPK School Curriculum 2026

AI in education will officially become part of the school curriculum in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from March 2026. Authorities confirmed the decision to modernize the education system.

The provincial government made this move to improve learning and match global technology trends. Education officials said schools will formally start teaching artificial intelligence as a subject.

Dtudents from grade 6 to grade 12 will study AI. The syllabus for different classes will include 35% to 50% AI-related content. This step aims to prepare students for future digital careers.

The government will hire experienced IT teachers to teach the subject. Officials will also set up 5,525 IT labs across the province to support practical learning.

The plan includes 225 IT labs in higher secondary schools and 3,515 labs in middle schools. These labs will help students gain hands-on experience with technology.

Education authorities said this step will strengthen digital skills and improve learning standards. The decision shows the government’s commitment to innovation and modern education.
